From Kainchi Dham to Houston: The Mandir Story
A thoughtful conversation about grace, devotion, and the journey that carried the Mandir’s sankalp from Kainchi Dham to Houston.

Hanuman Mandir of Greater Houston is a sacred home where prayer becomes strength, community becomes family, and seva becomes an offering.
Our sacred beginning
In Fall 2019, at Kainchi Dham near Nainital, Rigveda Acharya Bibhudutta Mishra completed an extraordinary eight-hour Sundarkand recitation from the Valmiki Ramayana while remaining in a single posture.
From that sacred experience emerged a clear sankalp: to bring Hanuman Ji’s love, devotion, and strength to Houston. Devotees gathered around that purpose, forming a community rooted in prayer, seva, and the timeless inspiration of Neem Karoli Baba Maharaj Ji.
