Hanuman Mandir of Greater Houston respects the trust placed in us by devotees, families, volunteers, donors, and visitors. This policy explains what information we receive through our website and how we handle it.

This policy applies to information collected through hanumanjee.org and its forms. It does not replace the privacy policies of external services you choose to use, such as Zeffy, Google, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or other linked platforms.

Photographs, videos, public-event communications, and optional youth media consent.

Information we collect
The information we receive depends on how you use the website. You may provide information directly, and limited technical information may be generated automatically when the site is accessed.
Information you provide
- Name, email address, telephone number, message, and inquiry topic when you contact the Mandir.
- Availability, seva interests, skills, experience, and notes submitted through adult volunteer forms.
- Parent or guardian contact information, youth volunteer name and age, availability, service interests, school service-hour needs, and consent selections submitted through youth volunteer forms.
- Information you provide when requesting a kirtan, path, priest service, program registration, donation receipt, or other Mandir assistance.
Information generated by website use
Our hosting, security, and website systems may process information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs. This information is generally used to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the site.

How we use information
We use personal information only for legitimate Mandir, nonprofit, safety, administrative, and community purposes, including to:
- Respond to questions and provide requested information.
- Coordinate visits, events, classes, kirtans, paths, volunteer service, and community programs.
- Process donations, maintain appropriate nonprofit records, and issue acknowledgments when applicable.
- Protect the website, prevent spam or abuse, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain service reliability.
- Comply with legal, accounting, safety, insurance, or recordkeeping obligations.

Forms and communications
When you submit a website form, the information is transmitted to the Mandir team by email and may also pass through our website hosting, security, and mail-delivery systems. We use it to respond to the request and coordinate the relevant activity.
Submitting a form does not automatically subscribe you to marketing messages. If you separately join our WhatsApp Community, follow a social account, or opt into future updates, the terms and privacy practices of that service also apply.

Donations and payments
Online donations and certain payments are processed through third-party services such as Zeffy. Payment information is entered into the provider’s form and is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Hanuman Mandir does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers on this WordPress website.
The Mandir may receive transaction details needed for nonprofit administration, such as donor name, contact information, amount, date, designation, receipt status, and payment status.

Children and youth
Parent or guardian submission is required.
Bala Kaksha and youth-volunteer information on this website is intended for parents and legal guardians. A child under 13 should not submit personal information directly through the website.
Youth volunteer forms require a parent or guardian to provide contact details and permission. Optional consent for event photographs or videos is separate from permission to volunteer and is not required for participation.
A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of youth information. We limit youth information to what is reasonably needed to assess and coordinate an age-appropriate, supervised opportunity.

Event photography and media
Mandir programs and public community events may be photographed or recorded for historical, devotional, educational, fundraising, website, social-media, or community-communication purposes. When practical, notices may be provided at major events.
For youth volunteer submissions, media consent is optional and separately selected by the parent or guardian. To request review or removal of a specific image from Mandir-controlled channels, contact us with enough detail to identify the image. We will evaluate reasonable requests, although removal from third-party reposts, printed materials, or archives outside our control may not always be possible.

External services and links
The website may embed or link to external services. Those providers may receive information such as your IP address, browser details, or interaction data when their content loads or when you follow a link.
- YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced embed mode where practical. YouTube and Google policies apply when a video is played.
- Google Maps may process device, location, and interaction information when the map loads or is used.
- WhatsApp Community invitations and social-media links open third-party platforms governed by their own policies.
- Donation, registration, or form services operated by third parties apply their own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices and requests
Subject to applicable law and legitimate nonprofit recordkeeping needs, you may ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
- Correct inaccurate contact or form information.
- Delete information that is no longer needed or legally required.
- Stop optional future communications from the Mandir.
- Review or withdraw optional youth media consent for future use.
We may need to verify the requester’s identity and relationship to the information before acting on a request.
